'Be positive band’ expands beyond Sri Lanka

Entertainment

Be positive band was started in 1999. And "Bisawa" was a mega hit from the year 2000 and in all tv channels during that time. The 1st 3D annimation song was produced by us. It was an anti smoking song and awarded with a president award. Another few famous songs were "Aseemithai Aadre, Saman malui Rosa Malui, Sora bora wewa langa" And the Lasitha perera Music Academy (LPMA) was established in 1997 and has catered over 20000 students for the last 25 years. Students from the academy have got a vibrant chance to produce their own songs and music videos. LPMA produced the " world water day song" from Sri Lanka with our students. It was recognized by the government and the students were awarded with certificates as well. And we have another nature song produced by LPMA. In most of the productions, the melody and lyrics are done by LPMA. As well we successfully aired the First "Vampire music video" in Sri Lanka. Parelerly a slow rock was relased by me named "Kumariye" which gained a good popularity.

Many students from our academy has their own music productions. Those are in different languages like tamil, hindi, english.

Recently, we have produced "Studio live" and Television concerts. As well, We produced an original song for one of my leading students named Zenel Zakeer (Song title - "Sitha thula Sengawee"). As well, the production done by us in tamil "Sai Akshath" was released in both Sri Lanka and South India. The "Anti Smoking" song named "Dum Dum" was remade by us recently and the music was produced by Omith Perera (my Son).

Recent English productions done to my students were, to Binuthi and Prasansa which have been able to gain international reach by now. On our most recent launch, two tracks named "Hum Tum (hindi production) and "Umathu Wela" which was done by the recently introduced artist named Gayaathri and featured by me are becoming popular.  "Ham Tum" is reaching Indian audience. According to the present production queue, there are several Hindi songs and few new Singhala songs to be launched in near future.
