Opposition MP Harin Fernando has been summoned to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today (28) over his statement on the Easter Sunday attack, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.
“Soon after the Easter Sunday incident, MP Harin Fernando made a statement in respect of the incident. Accordingly, the CID initiated an investigation into the statement by the MP. He is summoned today to re-record the statement in respect of the issues of the statement made by him,” the Police Spokesman said.

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa accompanied MP Harin Fernando when he arrived at the CID short while ago.
Fellow Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MPs Manusha Nanayakkara and Ranjith Maddumabandara too joined Mr. Fernando when he arrived to give a statement on his previous statement made after the Easter Sunday terror attacks.
