Travel restrictions between provinces has been banned until May 30 on a directive from President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, spokesman for the President’s office Kingsly Ratnayake said.
He said this was among a series of measures which has been taken to control the spread of COVID-19.
However, the spokesman did not specify, if the ban on travel between provinces were coming into effect immediately or not.
