Our photographer captured these images yesterday just after the attack launched on peaceful protesters at "Gota Go Gama" in Galle Face by Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) supporters.

The attack prompted retaliatory violence as crowds searched for and attacked SLPP supporters including local politicians.
