The islandwide lockdown that was to be lifted at 4 am on Monday, 30 has been extended till Monday, September 6, 4 am, Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said.
Minister Keheliya in a Tweet said "The current #COVID19SL curfew will continue till Monday 4am (06/09). Following an observation that #lka citizens have not taken the curfew to heart, in order for this to be effective, I implore again to refrain from unnecessary travel, work from home & abide by the curfew."
The decision to extend the curfew was taken by the President at the COVID-19 Task Force meeting held this morning (27).
