Two men, aged 26 and 32, involved in the robbery of 21 laptops were arrested by Wattala police yesterday (17).
The suspects were arrested in Elakanda and Madinnagoda areas. According to police, the main suspect who is an employee of a private company had stolen the laptops from the company’s storage and sold it to the second suspect. Wattala police has also confiscated 13 laptops with the other suspect.
The suspects were produced before Welisara Magistrate and the main suspect was ordered to be remanded till August 23 while the other was released on bail.
