A foreign journalist who attempted to enter the premises of Maris Stella College in Katana without obtaining permission has been remanded until May 15, the Police Media Division said.
According to the police, the foreign journalist had been taken into custody by the Katana Police upon a complaint filed by the Principal of the College.
The journalist has been identified as a photographer attached to the Reuters news agency by the name of Ahmed Danish.
He was remanded after being produced before the Meegamuwa Magistrates court, police said.
