President Maithripala Sirisena has reportedly said that he will not attend cabinet meetings until the dispute between the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) is resolved.
The President, while making these remarks during yesterday's cabinet meeting had said that the PUCSL's decision to file a case against the CEB could not be entertained under any circumstance.
He had pointed out that it was the general public who are at the receiving end of such disputes by both these entitities. Accordingly, he had urged that the rift between both state-run bodies must be resolved with immediate effect.
