Cricket: CDWCA Women’s 6s Tournament in January

A two-day All-Island Inter-Club Women's 6-a-side Cricket Tournament, conducted by the Colombo District Women's Cricket Association (CDWCA), will be held at the President's College ground in Rajagiriya on January 8 and 9, 2022. 

The first of its kind hard-ball cricket tournament for women, will be played for the CDWCA Trophy and sponsored by Bio Extract (Pvt) Ltd, the manufactures of Baraka products in Sri Lanka. 

The tournament will coincide with the silver jubilee celebrations of the CDWCA.

The first round matches of the tournament will be played on league basis, followed by the second round, which will be on a knockout basis. 

Winners and runners-up will receive the CDWCA Trophy and gift packs of Baraka products presented by sponsors of the event. 

In addition awards will be presented to the best player of the tournament, best bowler of the tournament, best fielder of the tournament, best player of final and player who scores maximum number of boundaries in the tournament in addition to two awards for the best catch. 

This tournament will be open leading cricket clubs of Sri Lanka with the closing date for entries set for January 3, 2022.
