Fast bowling all-rounder Lahiru Madushanka will miss the ICC T20 World Cup after injuring his collarbone during the third and final T20 international against South Africa on Tuesday.
Madushanka who was named in the 15-man squad for the global tournament injured his collarbone while fielding at deep square leg. He was taken off the field immediately.
The doctors have recommended three weeks of rest before he resumes training. The selectors are to name a replacement on Friday.
Meanwhile Kusal Janith Perera who batted with an hamstring injury on Tuesday is likely to be available for the World Cup.
